The Story Behind The Ready to Rally Collection

By Madeleine Kim

We’ve dubbed this collection “Ready to Rally” in honor of women everywhere who are running for office, getting out the vote, and rallying around causes that matter. After so many months at home, we’re ready to regroup and make change, and these are the clothes we want to be wearing while doing it: buttery-soft T-shirts and sweaters, fashion-forward suits that can be dressed up or down, super-stretchy dresses and separates that feel like wearing nothing, and everything in between. We hope these pieces will help you feel ready to gear up for fall in fighting shape.

“This collection is about cross-occasion dressing all the way, and styling is the name of the game: Dress down traditional suits with T-shirts. Dress up your everyday work-from-home look with a luxe sweatshirt. These pieces were meant to be versatile, so you can style them to fit your lifestyle now and later.”

“This collection was a labor of love between the M.M. team and our beloved customers. We’ve heard a lot of requests over the years, and we feel this collection truly has something for everyone—from sharp suiting, novelty silhouettes, and rich fall colors to more a relaxed offering of tees and sweaters (I see naps in my future). There are fashion statements, there are crowd-favorites, and there are unexpected delights (I’m especially obsessed with our new Worth fabric). This is THE runaway M.M. collection, and it’s not to be missed!”

—Elise Sharp, VP of Merchandising & Planning
“I love how these clothes are able to evolve with the ever-changing lives of our customers. This collection was designed over a year ago, but the things that make it special—powerful silhouettes, comfortable fabrics, and versatility—are still important in our lives today. These pieces show that it's possible to be a little more laid-back while still looking put-together. If you see me at any point this fall, I’ll be wearing a knit culotte, plush terry pullover, and sneakers!”
