4 Sun-ready Outfits (and Sunglasses to Match)

July 21, 2017 | Filed in: Your Closet

In the nick of time for beach season, we’ve partnered with Lowercase, a line of beautifully-crafted sunglasses made in small batches in New York. Three of their sleek, sculptural designs are currently available on our website, and more options can be found at our showrooms and select pop-ups. Below are four outfits to try them with—although they look chic with just about everything.

1. Crack-of-dawn flight to morning client meeting

The Soho skirt in black, the Winfrey top in black, the Elara earrings, and the Roebling sunglasses in red (available in our showrooms and select pop-ups).

Your alarm went off before dawn, you were on the plane at 7:12 a.m., and now you’re heading from the airport to your client’s office for a breakfast meeting (well, second breakfast; your first one was hours ago). These beautifully crafted jersey separates are soft enough to nap in (whenever you get the chance), and the oversized Roebling sunglasses give you a few extra minutes to blink away post-snooze bleariness until your coffee kicks in. The garnet-hued frames say, “I’m here for business, but I travel in style.”

2. Casual Friday to weekend getaway

The Femi dress in dune grass, the panel scarf, the Jupiter cuff, and the Marlton sunglasses in black.

You’ve got your overnight tote under your desk and a bottle of rose stashed in the office fridge; come 5:00 p.m. (or earlier, if you can pull it off), you’re getting out of dodge. Roll up to your friend’s beach house Roman Holiday-style in this breezy, elegant outfit, and you’ll feel worlds away from work.

3. The mid-week OOO lunch

The Sarah 7.0 dress in black, the Breeze scarf in chili flake, the Phoebe earrings, and the Roebling sunglasses in amber (available at our showrooms and select pop-ups, and on our website later this week).

A nice out-of-office lunch can do wonders for breaking up the week. Go incognito in these tortoiseshell sunnies, opt for outdoor seating (and maybe even a cocktail, if it’s that kind of day—or that kind of lunch), and live a little. Your emails can wait.

4. Sunday at the park

The AJ dress, the Breeze scarf in powder blue, the Broadway belt, and the Jane sunglasses in olive.

When you’re practically living in your sunglasses on weekends, you want a pair with a little bit of personality. Kick your easy Sunday outfit up a notch with the polished Jane frames; the olive color flatters a wide range of skin tones, and the classic silhouette adds definition to most face shapes.
