Our Team

Our Founder and CEO, Sarah LaFleur, got her start as a management consultant. Frustrated by a lack of women’s workwear options that were both stylish and practical, she teamed up with Miyako Nakamura (the former head designer of Zac Posen) and Narie Foster to launch M.M.LaFleur in 2013. Since then, we’ve grown into a team of go-getters who are committed to creating a better future for women. Miyako serves as our Chief Creative Officer, and her high-end design sensibility is a beautiful complement to Sarah’s focus on practicality.

Future Vintage

Meticulously crafted in Japan, this stretchy knit jacket was designed to be worn for life and passed down through future generations. In other words, it’s an heirloom in the making.

Everyday Satin

Our drapey satin is responsibly sourced from sustainably managed pine and eucalyptus forests and plantations. This low-impact manufacturing process is OEKO-TEX certified and TUV Austria “OK Biodegradable” certified.

When it comes to styling appointments at our showrooms (Bryant Park and D.C.), we recommend booking in advance to ensure a stylist is available to work with you for a full hour. That said, we can accommodate walk-ins if a stylist is available. Please feel free to call the showroom location first to confirm whether or not we can accommodate your specific needs.

The rest of our locations are typical stores and do not require (but do offer!) appointments.

Before you arrive, one of our expert stylists will use your survey answers to pull a selection of looks tailored to your style needs and body type. At the appointment, you’ll work with your stylist to determine your best fit and experiment with outfit pairings. If there’s anything you’d like to purchase at the end of your visit, you can walk away with your items or we’ll ship the pieces to you from our fulfillment center.

Belts have a range of 4" and can be worn 2" tighter and 2" looser than the middle hole measurement above. Belts sized to sit at the natural waist look great with dresses or a pencil skirt. Belts sized to sit at the high-hip work well with our pants.

To wear a natural waist belt with pants (or vice versa), please measure your desired circumference, follow the chart, and order the corresponding size.
