How does it work?

Drop in high-quality women’s and kids’ clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories, then send it to ThredUp via USPS or FedEx Office.
3. Earn M.M. credit
Earn credit when eligible items sell within the listing window. We add 15% on top of your sales.
What ThredUp accepts
ThredUp has high quality standards and accepts an average of 40% of each kit. The rest is reused or responsibly recycled. They only accept items with:
- No signs of wear — including pilling, fading and shrinkage.
- No damage — missing or broken parts, rips, stains or odors.
- No alterations — including missing sizing information.
What ThredUp pays
For eligible brands, payouts run from 3–80% of the list price. Some value brands are ineligible. Examples for items in like-new condition:
J.Crew sweater — 21% of list price
Eileen Fisher dress — 42% of list price
Louis Vuitton bag — 80% of list price
Credits are based on the selling price of items sold per kit within a 30-day listing window. Some low-priced items are ineligible, because processing costs more than the resale value.
Have more questions?
Delivery can take up to two weeks. ThredUp will email you on receipt, and again once your kit is processed with the items accepted and their pricing. Eligible items are listed for a 30-day consignment window.
Pricing depends on brand, style, condition, size and overall salability. Some value brands are ineligible for a payout.
After the 30-day consignment window, ThredUp emails your total payout including the 15% bonus. Your credit code follows within 10 days.
Items in good condition that don’t meet ThredUp’s resale standards may be sold through their Rescue program. Otherwise they go to partners who recycle, upcycle or ethically dispose of apparel.
