Partnership will include styling, social impact, and community events.

[NEW YORK, NY] - M.M.LaFleur, the New York-based womenswear brand known for thoughtfully designed clothing for work and life, announced its partnership with the WNBA’s New York Liberty. The multi-year partnership, which will launch in July 2023, is the first of its kind for both brands and was born from the two organizations’ shared belief that the world is a better place when women succeed.

As part of the partnership, M.M.LaFleur will outfit New York Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello along with members of the organization’s executive leadership team. Members of the Liberty will showcase M.M.LaFleur’s signature polished and movement-friendly styles for various moments, including gamedays, off-court, in-office, and more. The organizations will also host community-building events, which will include panel discussions, networking opportunities, and social impact events at both Barclays Center in Brooklyn and M.M.LaFleur stores. Additionally, the Liberty and M.M.LaFleur will collaborate on social media content and longer-form features, which will appear in M.M.LaFleur’s digital magazine, The M Dash. M.M.LaFleur will also offer personal styling opportunities and exclusive promotions to the Liberty’s fans.

M.M.LaFleur’s founder and CEO, Sarah LaFleur, shared that this partnership is a celebration of  the brand’s decade-long journey helping women harness the power of self-presentation. “I am a huge admirer of [Liberty CEO] Keia Clarke and her leadership and a big fan of the New York Liberty. The team and the athletes work tirelessly to advocate for not only women athletes, but also young girls, BIPOC women, and the LGBTQ+ community. There’s so much that our community of customers and suppliers can learn from women in sports and vice versa. We are going to inspire and elevate each other through this partnership.” M.M.LaFleur took a bold step in 2023, when the company committed to donating 10% of its profits annually to causes related to women’s empowerment, building on their long-term social impact partnerships with Bottomless Closet and the International Rescue Committee.

“The New York Liberty take great pride in working with companies who share our core values and champion gender equality,” said New York Liberty CEO Keia Clarke. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with M.M.LaFleur, bringing both organizations to the impactful intersection of sports and fashion and furthering our dedication to empowering women and community-building.”

M.M.LaFleur and the New York Liberty will distribute all digital content and events details via their respective email and social media channels (@mmlafleur, @nyliberty) throughout the rest of the 2023 season and postseason, with 2024 details to be shared with fans at a later date.
