I bought the Didion Drape Top and the Moreland Travel Blazer in Viridian at a recent pop-up in the Georgetown store. The green is the perfect pop of color. The pictures of the Didion do NOT do it justice! I am so glad I saw it in person because the fabric is just amazing!
I love most Didion tops but this one was a miss for me. The material feels very scratchy, is quite stiff (therefore missing the characteristic Didion flow), and wrinkles terribly easily. I wish it was not on final sale because I’d definitely return.
Thrilled with this latest blue striped version of the Didion top! It is visually striking, light, and airy—perfect for under my Rossi jacket for an academic conference in the June heat of Milan. YAY!
I have the same shirt in black but loved this color so decided to get another one. Definitely size down because it’s incredibly wide. I normally wear a M but got this in S and it’s still wide on me. Probably could’ve gone with an XS.
I bought this with pants and it was perfect to wear under a suit during the day and then change into the matching pants for a late patio dinner. The fabric is so comfortable and breezy.
This is a beautiful set! I’m 5’ 2” so I decided to shorten the top and crop the pants. My tailor immediately said how much she liked it and asked where I got it. My daughter and her friend peeked in when I was there and gave it a big thumbs up!!
A Lovely Spring Blouse!
This is my third Didion top, each is a different fabric blend. The fabric on this one has a nice easy drape, perfect for spring and summer.
Please please please - on the next iteration, line the blouse!! This is just too shear - my bra, straps, and brand are visible. I am purchasing a one piece bra/Cami to wear under this, an extra expense making the outfit very expensive.
If you are not yet attuned to MM’s silk charmeuse - you will find yourself seeking one in every color. As always with Didions, size down significantly unless you prefer a roomier/boxier fit. I never “got” the Didion until I sized down and now I reach for these all the time (esp the silk charmeuse!).
You can* wash this at home but to keep this pristine, I take mine to the dry cleaners.
Washed in cold, delicate cycle and air dried, but the edge seams contracted. The neckline is no longer flat. Was able to stretch the edges a bit, but it's not great.
Didion tops are basically my entire wardrobe of work shirts at this point, and I have no regrets. The poplin isn’t as effortlessly draped as the washable silk options, which will always be my favorite, but it’s nice a light for hotter months.
I wouldn’t call the color “dark cobalt” personally but it’s a nice deep blue and the stripes are pretty and flattering.
I bought this silk blouse in black and in dark fusia, and in size 20, XX, or 2X. They are made nicely with beautiful silk fabric. I found them quite flattering for my less than perfect muscular body, even with my large breasts, and large shoulders. I had no problems with the neck area, and my neck is far from petite. The arm holes are nice and roomy for me but, not too revealing(It’s not lady like to have your arms up in the air but, plenty of room if you want to live it up!). I do favor a lower cut, or neck line design but, I was looking for a modest cover in the front with this purchase, and loose fitting. One blouse was cut a shorter length in the front than the other but, it is still at a decent level! I am in-love with the dark fusia color, it almost looks like cranberry! I am 5'10", 280lb.. Try to get it on sale; they are pricey!
Wrinkles too easily. I ironed my blouse and packed it and it came out all wrinkled. Additionally it sticks to the body too much rather than being flowy. For this price this is unacceptable.
I love Didions- is that weird to say? I think I’ve been collecting them for 10+ years and must have 5 other ones in colors and prints, with full lining, partial lining and unlined. This is the only one that I’m not super excited about because it’s so sheer annd is unlined and putting something under it takes away from the casual coolness of the style. But the subtle stripe print of the Blush strip is beautiful so I will keep it and figure it out
