The Legacy You Leave: Fireside Chat & Networking Brunch
with Jasmine Minor, Robin Harris, and Jenny LeFlore

March 22nd
11am-1pm
M.M.LaFleur Chicago Store

About the Event

Join local Chicago luminaries Jasmine Minor, Robin Harris, and Jenny LeFlore for a conversation about how we can all leave a legacy by way of—and outside of—our everyday work. As influential women, they’ll offer their unique perspectives about how you can dedicate both your time and skills to those around you in order to create meaningful change.

15% of sales will be donated to the Minor Legacy Fund, a $5,000 scholarship named after Jasmine’s late father that is awarded to a female tennis player in the Midwest each year.

Drinks and brunch bites will be provided. Following the panel discussion, all guests are invited to shop M.M.LaFleur’s newest spring curation with our expert styling team.

About Our Partners

Image of Jasmine Minor

Jasmine Minor

Three-time Emmy winning Anchor and Reporter for ABC Chicago, Jasmine Minor has passionately covered social justice stories since the start of her career. The former Division 1 tennis player began her career working for 72 and Sunny, one of the world’s premier advertising agencies. She quickly realized she wanted to transform her skills of storytelling and creativity into giving a voice for the voiceless.

After graduating from Northwestern University with a Masters in Journalism, her stories have centered around culture and racial disparities, showcasing a balance of truth and joy of often overlooked communities. In light of the Black Lives Matter movement that took off in 2020, she began her own media consulting company, RISE Productions, to help small minority business owners play a larger role in their industries. In 2023, her work was honored with the prestigious Gracie Award, a global award given to women across various platforms.

Jasmine is also the co-founder of the Minor Legacy Fund, a $5,000 scholarship named after her late father that is given to a female tennis player in the Midwest. She wanted to follow the footsteps of her dad to create a path for future tennis stars to chase their dreams without limits.

Robin Harris

CEO and Creative Director of Model Atelier and CONFIDENCE Apparel, Robin Harris, is leaving her mark on the fashion industry. A former model, Robin found that the same fit and designs were unavailable in department stores. This realization highlighted that luxury brands often neglect apparel for tall women. With an MBA in International Business, Robin took the initiative to create a brand that addresses this gap, leading to the birth of tall-friendly brand Model Atelier.

After establishing Model Atelier, Robin felt compelled to make a difference in the lives of youth in her hometown of North Lawndale, a neighborhood in inner-city Chicago. This desire led to the creation of CONFIDENCE Apparel, a contemporary youth brand aimed at empowering young men and women of all sizes to embrace their individuality and believe in their potential for greatness. A portion of every sale is directed towards supporting mental health programs and the education of youth in underserved communities aspiring to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, or math (STEM) fields.

With a wealth of industry knowledge and a fresh perspective on business, Robin's achievements include making Model Atelier the first official fashion boutique for the WNBA's Chicago Sky and being named a member of Crain's Chicago Business 40 Under 40 in 2019.
