Margo Lindauer is a scholar, professor, and activist. Margo has spent years advocating for individuals impacted by intimate partner and sexual violence. In 2021, Margo was diagnosed with the BRCA-2 gene mutation that put her at extremely high risk of cancer a month after turning 40. She made the decision to undergo a preventative double mastectomy and ovarian surgery. Margo chose to see the diagnosis and subsequent surgeries as an opportunity for reflection on her life’s journey, which led her to make the difficult decision to leave her role as a law professor to pursue her own path.
