Marisa Facciolo has built her career around empowering women. A dedicated advocate for women’s causes, she supports organizations that advance equity and opportunity. Marisa is both a lawyer and an investment adviser at a wealth management firm, driven by a deep belief in the power of education. From a young age, she was taught that education is the one thing no one can take from you, a lesson that has guided her through her own personal and professional challenges.
Marisa credits her early life experiences as having shaped her world outlook, most notably her observations of the women who attended her family's finishing school. Watching the classes her parents hosted out of their home throughout the 1970's, Marisa saw how women’s beauty often dominated their careers. Being “pretty” was emphasized in a way that stuck with her. As she grew up, she knew that being pretty could get you in the door, but she believed that a woman needed more in order to be successful. An education was key.
