About the Artist

Stacey Beach is a California artist whose piece-sewn textile works celebrate the marginalized traditions of textile, decorative, and folk arts and their inextricable association with the maternal, the domestic, and the feminine. Beach holds an MFA from California College of the Arts and has shown across the US. A series of prints based on her ink drawings is currently available through a Design within Reach x Uprise NY collaboration. She has been shortlisted for the Hopper Prize twice and previously worked as painting assistant to Takashi Murakami.

More One-of-a-Kind Artwork

In honor of our ten-year anniversary, we commissioned seven artists to create their own interpretation of the M.M.LaFleur icon, which represents a woman with an idea. 100% of the proceeds from these works will benefit social-impact organizations selected by each artist.
